About Our Program

Rubies is a healing program centered around Christ our Lord and Savior for women struggling with addiction and/or coming out of human sex-trafficking.

Rubies allows women to discover themselves and their worth in Christ by learning to build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, attending church, attending faith-based counseling, healing physically, mentally, and spiritually, becoming employed, learning life skills, mentoring, gaining family, integrating back into society with support.

Our Founder

My name is Candace Watson-Cole, this is my testimony from darkness to light. How I was transformed in a 4x9 cell. Physically I was locked up behind bars, but I became the freest I had ever been in my whole life.

​

My childhood engraved in me that sex was love. That I was ugly and fat, not ever good enough. I craved attention that I necessarily did not always receive at home. Made fun of by my peers to the point I tried to commit suicide multiple times with no succeeding. At an incredibly young age I allowed men to use me, abuse me, mentally, physically, and sexually. This eventually led to me using drugs to numb the pain from flash backs. Numb the pain from guilt and shame. I was on a downward spiral and fast. With addiction came many other bondages and abuses. EMPOWERMENT CENTER

The ARC Empowerment Center is a place where ministries and organizations equip, empower, and bring hope to the community. ARC stands for "All R Community." As we build, this will be a place where our community can come and be served.

COMMUNITY HEALTH ACCESS 

PROJECT

The Community Health Access Project (CHAP HUB) is a nationally recognized Pathways Community HUB model. The Pathways Community HUB Model is utilized from infancy to adulthood to assure accountable outreach to at risk individuals, documenting reduced risk, improved outcomes and reduced cost.

As the local HUB, CHAP covers Richland, Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Morrow and Knox counties. The CHAP HUB serves as the central networking center for a team of Community Care Coordination Agencies (CCAs).  These local agencies deploy culturally connected Community Health Workers (CHWs) who reach out and engage individuals to help identify specific health social and behavioral health risk factors.  The work of the CHAP HUB network of local agencies assures focus on our communities most at risk populations and through evidence based and outcome focused steps, we assure individuals connect to primary care and prevention services, behavioral health, housing, food, clothing, adult education and employment.
